The BIOSTIM station stimulates the natural process of
bioremediation to break down the oil thats inside sunken
shipwrecks.
The station is getting attached to a shipwreck and drills inside
the oil tank. The oil is slowly released into a expandable balloon,
where it is getting mixed with ocean water and oil eating
bacteria. To accelerate the degradation process, the modules
of the station support the bacteria with essential substances
like nutrients and oxygen. The different modules like the
battery can be replaced during the process. The BIOSTIM station creates an controlled oil leak and degrades
the oil inside a save space, so that it can not leak into
the environment where it would contaminate flora and fauna.
